Before the Glam

We are still finalizing the plans! Here are some before photos. The fence is new! The plan is to create a calming, scenic view and hide the neighbor's goat. And now the big before photos! Right now, it's just an office building.

Dreaming of a Salon

Above is the current floor plan of the building located in Escondido. We plan on adding rooms for skin and/or massage as well as a private styling room.

This is the purposed design for how the salon may look, designed by me! :) Thinking and dreaming up all kinds of scenarios! It's crazy trying to make it all fit! I'm sharing this plan because I like it the best so far! Modern Love Salon will be a glam rock salon inspired by David Bowie's amazing career. Designed to be a fun, rocking atmosphere with outstanding customer service, style, and expert talent. This will be a hip place to come and revitalize your look and well being!

Skin Line Chosen!

I have been familiar with PCA for the last two years from a client point of view. My anesthetist uses this line and I knew that when it came to deciding what line to carry in my own salon, PCA was going to be a serious contender!

After taking their Skin Biology and Peel Fundamental Certification, I realized that this product really does improve skin and protect it. For this company to also offer the ability, through their products, for me to do work on post-surgery and chemotherapy patients I knew right of way that this line was going in my soon to be salon. Having gone through Chemotherapy myself, I want to offer skin care for post treated patients to help get them back to feeling beautiful and looking healthy.

So I have decided, PCA Skin is the skin care line we will be carrying. We are very excited about the skin care line and all that the line can do! From Chemical Peels to Chemotherapy Post-Treatments. As the company describes on their webpage, PCA is "A leading clinical skin care company in the development of professional chemical peels and advanced topicals for over 20 years, PCA SKIN was the first cosmeceutical company to provide scientifically researched daily care products and professional treatments to the medical and clinical aesthetics markets and is acknowledged in medical textbooks as the originator of advanced blended chemical peel formulations."

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 20, 2011

Everyday a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. Both Ana and Debby Boe have had some of their close family and friends diagnosed with breast cancer over the past couple years and have been touched deeply by their courage, hope and fight to live.

"Walking in the upcoming Susan G. Komen 3 Day breast cancer walk is a way for us to give back, to walk in honor of all WOMEN past, present and future in hopes that a cure is found very soon." says Debby Boe.

The women have planned an event on October 22nd to help raise even more funds for the cause and their walk. With some determination they canvased the San Diego downtown area, and were able to secure the Bamboo Lounge for their event.

After securing different vendors to provide designer clothes, Miss Diva purses, Gold Canyon Candles and ZRII Health and Wellness to participate, they approached Air Feathers and were greeted with open arms.

"We are always happy to help at events like this," says Art Director Mandy Florez, a cancer survivor herself. "We're so happy that we can take our Think Pink Sphynx items downtown to help raise awarness and funds, and to make people smile."

Air Feathers "Think Pink Sphynx" Breast Cancer Awareness Kit has been doing well, and both Florez and Air Feathers founder Airie McCready are glad they placed an order for more product.
"This way," says McCready, "we can provide fundraising items right up until the last day of October, and even further if needed.

The Air Feathers team has chosen Airie's own sphynx cat, Daisy, to be their think pink mascot.

When asked why, Florez, smiles and replies, "Well, she's pink, she makes you think, and if you look closely at her picture, she's a great representative for Breast Cancer awareness."
Daisy herself was diagnosed with cancer at only 3 months old. The kitten, who weighed only 2.5 lbs did not have a great prognosis, and Airie was not sure Daisy would pull through. But with a lot of love, care, and effort, Daisy made it.

McCready and Florez acknowledge that Daisy does not compare to a Mother, Sister, Daughter, or anyone you may know that is fighting and surviving Cancer. But the little pink cat certainly is attention getting, and you can't help but smile when you see her on the cover of the new kit.

"Laughter is an immune system stimulant," says McCready, "and Daisy is about the cutest and funniest thing most people have ever seen!"

McCready believes that there's nobody better than her hairless cat to represent the new line of "AirMazing Fakes," a hybrid synthetic hair extension that's taking the industry by storm. The synthetic looks and acts much like real hair, at only a fraction of the cost. It's heat resistant up to 300 degrees and curls nicely with a moving tool like a flat iron. It comes in every color in the rainbow, but in the new kit stylists get an large amount of the pinks-solid light and hot pink, as well as "Grizzly" or striped light and hot pink that mimic the popular feather extension trend.

McCready also loves the fact that this kit does not lock stylists in to any particular charity or event-it leaves them free to raise funds however they see fit.

The new pink hair extensions, as well as a few items that have not hit the market yet will be available to purchase for a donation amount at the event.

Where: Bamboo Lounge, 1475 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92103
When: October 22nd, 2011
Time: 3:pm-7:pm

Escondido, CA (PRWEB) September 30, 2011

Air Feathers introduces an exciting new product with an original twist-using a hairless cat who suffered from cancer herself to put the "fun" back in fundraising. The "Think Pink Sphynx" kit is for the stylist on a budget who wants to raise funds, and still offer their clients the latest in exciting hair trends.

Why a trendsetting company like Air Feathers would choose a hairless cat as their mascot for a "Think Pink" campaign, as well as to launch a new hair extension product is a mystery-until Airie McCready and Mandy Florez explain it.
"Yes, this looks crazy-but it's not!" Insists Airie McCready, the inventor of the "Think PInk Sphynx" project, "it's just a bit more out there than most, but you noticed it, right?"

"I knew we were supposed to get an international superstar model to launch our new product," says McCready. "So we did. Daisy is a model for http://www.sphynxcatwear.com that retails internationally, and she poses for photographer Christopher Voelker whenever possible. She's the official fit and photo model for their new Junior Wear line that's coming out soon."
"I used to dream about being a supermodel, having a designer come to my home and alter my wardrobe, use me as a muse," says McCready, "it didn't happen for me, but it's happened for Daisy!"
The "Think Pink Sphynx" campaign launches Monday October 3rd, with the products shipping in the middle of October.
